Kevin Gates has announced the release date for his second studio album: I’M
HIM is out September 27 (via Bread Winners’ Association). The record is
formally Gates’ follow-up to his 2016 debut Islah. Check out the Baton

projects including Murder for Hire 2, By Any Means 2, Luca Brasi 3, and
this year’s Only the Generals Gon Understand EP. Recently, Gates has also

Kevin Gates announces 2019 “I’m Him Tour”
Kevin Gates has announced an extensive US tour ahead of his upcoming album, I’m Him.
The 32-date “I’m Him Tour” launches October 12th in Chicago and runs through the end of November. Speaking of the tour, Gates says, “I’m going to take everyone that comes out to see me on a journey of everything that I’m Him is. It’s going to be a movie.”
A little over a week after sharing “Double Dutch (In Amsterdam Witt It),” Kevin Gates is back with another new single in support of his upcoming studio album I’m Him. This time around, the Baton Rouge superstar is serving up a Beat Zombie-produced track titled “No More.”
“Tellin’ my plug ‘I fell in love / Considerin’ no longer sellin’ drugs’ / He told me I had his blessin’ and she must be special / I responded that it was,” Kevin Gates raps on “No More.” “Life in the fast lane comes with a rush / The heart still wants what it wants / The heart still wants what it wants / Skipped out on a meeting and go see my decent mechanic / Was mendin’ a broke heart / Ship a container, got left at the dock / And probably got hit by a coast guard.”
“I’m still passionate, I still care, I still give a f*ck about my craft,” Kevin Gates previously told Ebro Darden, opening up about his forthcoming studio project for an exclusive Beats 1 interview. “I’m still attempting to become greater.”

Kevin Gates Drops “Push It” Single and Video, Announces New Album ‘I’m Him’
Kevin Gates has marked his return with the new single “Push It,” along with the song’s music video.
The track is the first from the Baton Rouge rapper’s forthcoming album I’m Him, his first project in over three years. Following his 2016 debut album Islah, Gates was involved in a string of legal challenges and briefly incarcerated in 2016 for battery. In 2017, he was jailed again for gun charges, but was paroled in January 2018.
Gates will also be heading out on tour with Cardi B this July. Take a look at the dates below and watch the video for “Push It” above.
